Derek Settlemyre
Head Equipment Manager

Derek Settlemyre completed his sixth season as head equipment manager for the Flyers and his 17th year with the organization. He was promoted to his current position in 2006 after serving as the head equipment manager for the Philadelphia Phantoms for 10 seasons. He spent two years as an assistant equipment manager with the Flyers and a year in the same role with the Florida Panthers before taking the head job with the Phantoms when the team was founded in 1996.

Settlemyre has an impressive international resume with Team USA, most recently serving as the co-head equipment manager at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He was also head equipment manager for Team USA at the 2007 World Championships, held in Moscow, Russia, and served as co-head equipment manager for Team USA at the 2006 World Championships in Riga, Latvia.

The native of High Point, North Carolina graduated from Coker College in 1993 with a degree in fitness programming and played for the school’s basketball and soccer teams.

He resides in Pine Hill, New Jersey with his daughters, Peyton and Bryce.
